Our high-altitude UV is hard on color, so the sealer matters as much as the stamp. We use quality release agents and sealers and recommend re-sealing every few years to keep decorative concrete looking sharp. As with all our work, it starts with a compacted base, proper thickness, reinforcement, and control joints — the decorative finish is the last step, not a substitute for good structure underneath.
What Does Stamped Concrete Cost?
Stamped and decorative concrete typically runs $14–$28 per square foot depending on the pattern, number of colors, and detail. It costs more than a plain broom finish but far less than natural stone or the long-term upkeep of pavers. We will price your specific pattern and area for free.
Is stamped concrete slippery?
It can be smoother than broom-finished concrete, so for walkways and pool decks we add a non-slip additive to the sealer for better traction in snow and rain.
How do I maintain it?
Keep it clean and re-seal every 2–4 years depending on sun and traffic. That is the main upkeep — no re-leveling or weeding like pavers.
Can you stamp over my existing patio?
Sometimes. If the existing slab is structurally sound, a decorative overlay may be an option. If it is cracked or heaved, a new pour is the better investment. We will assess it during the estimate.
