A walkway is the first thing visitors step onto and the last thing you want to worry about when it is icy. Cracked, heaved, or uneven concrete walks become real trip hazards in a Colorado Springs winter, and they hurt your home’s curb appeal the rest of the year. We build new sidewalks and paths — and replace failing ones — with the drainage and base prep that keep them flat and safe season after season.

What We Build

  • Front entry walks and approach paths
  • Garden and side-yard walkways
  • Steps and landings
  • Paths connecting driveways, patios, and gates
  • Broom-finished or decorative surfaces
  • Replacement of cracked or heaved existing walks

Safe Footing Through Every Season

Walkways get shoveled, salted, and rained on, and they sit right in the freeze-thaw zone. We slope them for drainage so water does not pool and refreeze, place control joints to manage cracking, and can add a broom or textured finish for grip in snow and ice. Where a path meets steps or a porch, we make sure transitions are even to eliminate trip points.

What Do Walkways Cost?

Sidewalks and walkways are usually priced by the square foot, in the same $8–$16 per square foot range as other flatwork, with decorative finishes costing more. Steps, tight access, and removal of old concrete affect the price. We will measure and give you a free written quote.

Can you make my walkway less slippery?

Yes. A broom finish adds traction, and on decorative surfaces we can add a non-slip additive to the sealer — helpful for snowy, icy months.

Can you match my existing concrete?

We do our best to match color and finish, though new concrete always cures to a slightly different shade than aged concrete. For a seamless look, replacing a full section often looks better than patching.

Do you fix trip hazards?

Yes. Depending on the cause we can grind down small lips, or replace the affected section when the slab has heaved or settled too far to level safely.
